DESCRIPTION:ATTN obstacle enthusiasts: Buy your steak night (or vegetarian option) tickets for Sun\, May 21!!! It’s to raise money in order to recoup our ‘challenge fund’ so that we can put on awesome\, smoothly-run challenges with incentives such as added prizes\, a funny announcer and extra ‘bang’!!! Obstacle challenges are the latest hype in the horse world. It’s not about turnout\, expensive show entries\, age\, looks or breeds; it’s about horsemanship\, sportsmanship and an affordable western discipline run under the sanction of a fantastic national association. It’s about getting people of ALL levels and walks of life out enjoying their horses and putting their partnerships to the test in a division(s) suitable to each horse and rider. Please help support making obstacle challenges a ‘thing’ in this province by joining us at Original Joe’s\, the one off 51st street north in Saskatoon. You can arrive at ANY time on May 21 with your ticket(s). A portion of the price of tickets will go to putting on awesome\, FUN challenges. We plan to have a group of people arrive at about 5pm if you would like to visit with us and learn more.

SUMMARY:Paul Dufresne Clinic
DESCRIPTION:The Training For Courage Clinic with Paul Dufresne is returning to Saskatoon in May at Willow Ridge Stables.\nFriday evening starts out with an incredible demo (7pm) by Paul as part of his TFC clinic\, to give an opportunity for everyone to see the different stages of training. Last year he demonstrated endotapping on a young horse\, followed by western dressage on his gelding and then did advanced maneuvers and tricks\, as well as had his horses at LIBERTY. Paul also demonstrated some AIRS ABOVE THE GROUND\, as well as effective trailer loading and trailering!\nAudit fee: $10 per day.\nThere are still some spaces for participants of all levels and disciplines. It’s a great opportunity for young horses to build a solid foundation\, some horses/riders attend to build confidence for their horse or themselves\, and some wanting to advance where they left off at from Paul’s previous clinic.Going to be a great weekend!\nAn awesome clinic if you are looking to develop an exceptional relationship with your horse\, want to learn new techniques\, want to engage your horse from the hind end\, need a confidence boost (you and/or horse)\, want to learn to improve quality of movement\, or who want to bombproof and/or /learn a trick or two. DESCRIPTION:Do you want to take your horsemanship higher? Up your game and gain more confidence? Have a better connection with your horse? Understand the why behind what your horse is doing?\nWe can help\, and will be in Saskatoon May 12-17\, 2017. Your goals are within reach! \nOur program is rooted in helping you achieve your goals through Toolbox Exercises- a support system of easy to remember and employ exercises that ensure both you and your horse quickly and easily have those ‘lightbulb moments’ if you’re ever stuck. \nOur Advanced Groundwork Toolbox Exercises are tailored to further develop our communication with horses- once your horse understands your tools (and once you understand when to employ them) You will become a leader they trust\, rely on\, and turn to when they’re in trouble….whether it’s help with understanding a new concept\, a new situation\, or a new task. Furthermore\, and most importantly\, our horses learn to interpret pressure as POSITIVE: simply another tool of communication. \nWe will teach you when\, where\, and how to use our Toolbox Exercises. We help you and your horse connect familiar exercises to new tasks so you can progress confidently and consistently. Above all\, we pride ourselves on the ability to demystify the ever elusive concept of ‘feel.’ We make it easy for you to connect ‘why’ and ‘what’ to HOW and WHEN. \nHelping our horses understand what we want gives them a choice. It sets them up to be active participants in achieving our goals- as a team. It means that we cultivate confident and consistent progress in any facet of horsemanship that we choose to pursue- as partners. And it means that they truly understand how and where to get comfort- from us.
